Many Government and twenty police officials at Rosht wero killed. Consular reports indicate that the attack on Resht was begu i by order of tho Utissinn Consul, who is now acting as Governor. Order has now been restored. A massacre ha.s been proceeding at Tabriz since Sunday, when 500 wcro killed, including women and children. The peoplo wcro exhorted not to givo the slightest provocation, Lut tho massacres continue. An official telegram states that tho Russian outrages at Tabriz &urpass those ivhich occurred at Tripoli. Houses wero entered indiscriminately, and women violated in tho presence of their relatives. Artillery mowed down every living creaturo in the streets. Fierce fighting continues, tho Russians being hard pressed. Many wcro killed. RUSSIAN LOSSES. St, Petersburg, December C 6. One hundred and fifty Russians were killed , or wounded at Tabriz. Tho natircs continue audacious and stubborn. TEE PERSIANS STUPIFIED. Teheran, December 26. The Persians aro stupiiied at Russia's attitude, followiug upon Persia's acceptance of tho second ultimatum and the manifestation of every desire to conciliate and establish friendly relations. j ' NEWSPAPERS SUPPRESSED.

KUSSIANS DISPERSE INDIGNATION MEETING. Teheran, December 26. Russian police dispersed an indignation meeting convened at a bazaar in Teheran to protest against the coup d'etat which involved tho dissolution of the Mejliss. Tho newspapers have been suppressed except one,' named "Mejliss," which supports tho Cabinet. Martial law bus been proclaimed.

INDIAN SOWARS ATTACKED. BRITISH PUNITIVE PARTY. Teheran, December 26. . Advices from Shiraz state that Persian troops guarding the Kashjar Road, in Kazerun, attacked a number of Indian Sowars, killing one. A British punitive party was afterwards sent to the hills.
