In the Assembly the Premier announced that tho Government had decided upon a dcßuite step to enforce tho rights of the House of Assembly, and cud tho deadlock with the Legislative Council on the Appropriation Bill. He moved tho adjournment of the Assembly until January 3 to enable the Government to confer fully with his Excellency tho Governor. Tho motion was carried.
