OJd per hour, as Is. per hour prouously, Student conductors will commence at Old., as against Sd. per hour, and will receive-is. per hour after the nrst twelvo month?. It-is further stated that tho awnrd provides or an eight hours' duv, hut that tho board has the option of working tho men an hour extra beforo overtime is paid. Tho union applied to havo all shifts bnishetl in ten hours, but it was understood Hi U _ twel vo hours is tho period stipulated in the new award. Overtime will be paid at time and a half, and double rates will be paid on Good Friday and Christinas Day. In regard to uniforms, which the union asked should lo supplied free, it is stated that, under the new arrangement, tho employees will have to contribute a quarter of the cost, as against half tho cost at present. Tho free passes for employees, which were applied for by tho union, were not granted.
