OBSTREPEROUS SAILOR. ' John Henderson, a muscular-looking seaman, was charged with various offences—that ho had been intoxicated, had resisted arrest, damaged a constable's uniform (valued at £:i 6s. 6d.), and smashed six cab windows (valued at ,'i(k). Various first-offending inebriates were convicted and discharged, Pines of 10s., with (he option of 48 hours' imprisonment, were imposed upon ■' John Finnic, William Simmons, mid Angus M'J)onnld, each convicted of drunkenness. Frank Albrecht and John Ramson (alias Liolierl on similar convictionn wcro each fined 205., with Ihe option of three days in gaoi. A prohibition order was made out against Donald Campbell, who was convicted of drunkenness and fined Ifls., with tho option of seven days' imprisonment. John M'Convillc, a prohibited person, was convicted of drunkenness and disorderly 'behaviour, and fined JOs., with the alternative of seven days' imprisonment. For resisting the police ho was sentenced to H days in gaol. Two other prohibited individuals, Win, Brady and George Broughton, were convicted of breaches of their prohibition orders nud fined 20s. each, with the alternative ol three days' imprisonment. OTHER CASES. On a charge of threatening behaviour, whereby the public peace was endangered, a man named Walter Kempton was 'convicted and filled 205., with costs 'js. ( with the option of three days' imprisonment, Wm. Ross, convicted of having used certain language, was fined X'J, with the option of 11 days' imprisonment.
