ENTERTAINED AT DINNER. STAND UNITED P The president of tho N.Z.A.A.A. (Mr. Arthur Jlurvyntt) entertained tho visitins members of tho Hoard of Control of the Au&tralnsiii Amateur Alhlotic team at dinner last evening in the Hotel Windsor. A niimU'r of toiists were submitted and duly honoured. Mr. R. Coombes, presidont of tho Board of Control, responded (o (lie toast of (he Australasian Amateur Athletic Union. Ho had been president sincu 18DG, ever since tho union was formed, he said, nnd he was very proud of tho ofllce. [lo was certain tliat the union was inoviiiK on Uio right lines, and especially ho thought that Now iW. land would be well advised not to striko out on a line of its own in fhfl matter of representation at the Olympic Gam«s. Mr. R. Coombes, was in the chair, and there were, present: Me&srs. A. iMarryatt nud W. T. Larkin (Now Zcalaud), G. P. !?. Piirko 'Now South Wales), D. M'Grath and 1!. T. 0. Eenuiek (Queensland), B. J. Parkinson aud L. A. Adnmson (Victoria), K. A. Brooko and A. T. IU-isi (Tasmania). It was decided that tho hoadriua.rtere of the uuion remain nt Sydney; Mr. B. Coombes was re-elected president, Mr. K. !?. Marks honorary secretary, and Mr. S. K. Howloy honorary treasurer. All the appointments were made without opposition, and ou the unanimous decision of tho meeting. A deal of correspondence was received, and variously dealt with, relating to affairs purely Australian, and mostly concerning oiiiy small sections of Australian athletics. Concerning representation at tho Olympic Games »t Stockholm in 1912, tho union , resolved to give permission to tho various State associations to take such steps as they might deem proper to secure athletic representation at tho Olympiad. Tho meeting adjourned at 11 p.m., to sit again at 9.30 a.m. to-day.
