KENT TERRACE CHURCH.
ORDINATION SERVICE. At the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church on Sunday evening, tho ordination o( Sister Eli7-abcth was conducted by a commission of tho Wellington Presbytery, consisting of tho Revs. James Pnterson, J. Kennedy Elliott, W. J. Comrie, \Y. Shirer, Messrs. W. M. Hannay and J/ G. W. Aitken, elders. ' Tho Rev. James Patorson presided, ami preached an appropriate sormon from tho latter part of the tenth chapter of St. Luke's Gospel. The preacher pointed out how effective tho agency of woman had been in tho service of Christ and how ancient and honoruoMc the order of deaconess was. Tho Rev. Coinn'o smvo a suitable and solemn charge to tho new deaconess, and in token of her recognition tho members of the Presbytery present extended to her tho right hand of fellowship. A special benediction was (hen pronounced. Tho particular work of Sinter Elizabeth will be to assist the pastor, the Rev. J. Kennedy Elliott, in the visitation and congregational work of the parish. __________
