On" tho above-named days mails dispatched by steamers will close at 6.30 a.m., also mails by trains for the Wairarapa, Tarncuki, Wanganui, Jlangitikei, Manawatu, Hawke'6 Bay, and Auckland districts will close at 6.30 a.m. There will not be any clearances of the city receivers or deliveries by letter-ear-rierg on tho above-named days, but on Saturday, December 23 and 30, thero will be full afternoon deliveries by the lettercarriers,. closing at tho Chief Post Office at 1.40 p.m. On the above-named Saturdays there will be deliveries by the lettercarriers at the Drill-shed from 5.30 to 9.30 p.m., and the Parcels Department will bo opon from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m.; also deliveries over the public counter at the Chief Post Office from 8,30.t0 9.30 p.m. of coiTespondence addressed to tho Post Ofiico only. Extra clearances will be made as follow:—All city receivers will be cleared at 6 p.m.; Wellington South, Kilbirnie, and Hataitai receivers at 5 p.m., and suburban ones at 4.30 p.m. On Tuesday, December 26, Boxing Day. the Postal Department will bo open in all its branches (except the Money-order and .
