"Xoitlicr am f," was the answer of the astonished Smithers. "But weren't you sawing wood in the attic a few minutes ago!'" Then Smit.hers erew furious, and when he liiml settled matters with liriggs he i departed, baggage arid all, and Uriggs knew him do lunger- as a friend.
