A railway employee named Roscoo Agers, though his hands were burned to tjie boue, threw th<; fragments of a broken stove from a wrecked car, thus preventing tho wreckage faking fire. Tlis keroisui .saved tlo/.cns of lives. The acc'dent was duo to a collision between two trolley cars.
