The local detective office had a busv time yesterday. Detective Cameron arrested a young man named George Cecil (-oloman on a charge of stealing at Nelson a postal packet containing pe'trol cigar lighters, the property of the Postmaster General. A woman, named Beila Harrington, alias Bain, was apprehended by Detectives Kemp and Rawle on n charge ot stealing .Sl2O from the Clvde j ourt Hotel, while in connection with the same matter Henry Hilditch was arrested on a charge of receiving J597 ] s 9d...knowing, it to have been stolen. Detectives Cameron and Rawle wero responsible for the arrest of Benjamin Norman Campbell, who will be charged with stealing XI OJ. 6d. at Lower Ilutt on December 12.
