Hon-ell.—This year's census of Canada gave the population as 7,100,000, as against 5,370,000 at tho census of 1901. It was expected in Canada that the total would reach 8,000,000, and there has been much dissatisfaction at th 6 result, and investigation has been ordered by the Government into charges of scamped work by tho census-takers.
