MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

(Before Mr. W. G. Kiddell, fc?.31.) There was a very li?ht charge sheet at the Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning. Three first offending inebriates were convicted and fined o=. each; another offender in the same class rcas convicted and discharged with a caution. A prohibited person named Isidore Jacobs was fined 40s. for having committed a breach of his prohibition order, and a conviction was also entered up against him for having been found drunk. James Patterson was fined 40s. for drunkenness, and Arthur Knight, similarly charged, was convicted and ordered to pay the cost of medical treatment. A man named George Hayes, employed on the steamer Euahine, was ordered to forfeit two days' pay for absenting himself from the ship without leave.
