FEMALE SUFFRAGE.
1> ME, ASQUITH'S VIEWS. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright London, December 15. The Prime Minister, Mr. Asquith, in tho course '.of a reply to tho deputation from the National League, which is op-, posed to women's -suffrage, and which asked for a- referendum on the subject, said that if' a referendum of men alonn was taken women would resent the verdict. Personally, he was convinced the franchise for women would be a uistake of a very disastrous kind, and he felt that it was time those holding strong views on the subject should take off their coats and put the case against the female suffrage cogently before the public. !. .
