(Liberal), sharply attacked Lord Loreburn in connection with tho appointment of magistrates. The Premier replied that before the Royal Commission the Government had appointed 2758 Liberals, 864 Conservatives, 1733 whoso politics aro unknown. Since then appointed men had been nominated by Advisory Committees. A resolution approving of Lord Loreburn's action was carried by 131 to 39,
