STEAMER WRECKED.
RUNS ON A REEF. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright • (Eec. December 17, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, December 16. The steamer Brooklyn, while entering Crookhaven Heads, ran on a reef. A large hole was rent in her bottom, through which the rock projected. She filled with water in a few minutes. Her crew were rescued ten hours later. It is hoped to save a. portion of her cargo, which consists chiefly of Christmas goods.
