EGG PRICES HARDENING.
ANOTHER PENNY EISE. For quite a long strctch up to lost week eggs were in plentiful supply at tho city markets nt 10:!. per dozen. I nst v.'fM'k s-nv a rise of one penny per dozen, and the present week has seen a further rise to Is. per dozen. There is overy indication of further hardening of prices, in view of the Christmas demand, and it will not bo surprising to see another penny por dozen recorded next week.
