LOCAL AND GENERAL.
At the meeting of the Hospital Committee held yesterday, it was decided to authorise tho matron to purchase tho usual Christmas gifts ond extras for the patients up to .£lO, and authority bo given to spend .£2O on additional games, etc., out of the Brown ll'William Memorial Fund for the benefit of the patients. At tho meeting of tho Hospital Committee held vesterday it was decided that tho rate charged for maintenance of patients of the Otaki Hospital be the same as at the Sanatorium and Wellington Hospital, viz., 30s. per week for patients in the Wellington Hospital District, and .£2 for those outside. At tho meeting of the Hospital Committee poll yesterday, it was decided that the rato charged for maintenance of patients at the Otaki Hospital 'be tho same as at the Sanatorium and Wellington Hospital, viz., 30s. pex week for patients in the Wellington Hospital District, and £2 for thoso outside. The date on which tho Mines Commission is to roport has been extended from December 1 to December 16.
