During her trials at Portsmouth, tho battleship Orion's electrical equipment overheated tho oil-tank bearings, and created an inflammable- vapour, which, igniting, burst a drum. Tho burning oil escaped, transporting to tho dynamoroom a sheet of flame. Three Admiralty officials, four officers, and thirteen others wero severely burned. Fourteen had to bo sent to hospital,
