FOXTON HARBOUR BOARD.
(Bj TcicsraDh.-SDocial CorrcsDondenU Palmerston, December 13. At a meeting of the Foxton Harbour Board yesterday (Mr. P. J. Hennessey presiding), in response to the wishes of tho leaseholders, a visit was paid to the Heads and a suitable site selected for a jetty. At a subsequent meeting Mr. J. A. iNash moved that an estimate bo obtained forthwith for the construction of tho jetty, and that a dpnutation,. comprising Messrs. Hennessey, Wood and tho mover, wait upon the-Minister for Morino wirii a request for a subsidy up to .£2OO. m[ ie , mo "°n was. carried unanimously. Ihe barbourmaster submitted u report dealing with tho vessels held up during the past month. In each ca>» it was clearly shown that it was not throush any ianlt of the bar, but duo to unavoidable accident*.
