A man named Verveck, supposed to be the author of tho Liego outrage, has died of his wounds received at the time of tho explosion. ' x « Tho bomb was loaded with gunpowder and chlorate. The victims mostly belonged to the working class and included many girls. The incident has aroused fears of a renewal of the outrages of seventeen years ago when Liege was a centre of Anarchism.
