JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Henry Toms was ordered to pay Loasby and Isaac £2 Bs. sd. bv December -I), m default 48 hours' imprisonment. Hercules Clifford was ordered to pay William Lewis Jenness .£1 12s. Cd. by December 26, in default 18 hours' imprisonment. T. Pelham was ordered to paT Rouse and Iturrell £1 13s. Gd. bv January 12. in default 48 hours' imprisonment. James Earl Read was ordered to pay Samuel Brown, Ltd., ,£2 as., in instalments of 10s. a month. James Kirkwood was ordered to par E. r. Wynne Bond 18s. by December 26, in default 48 hours' imprisonment. Stanley Parrington was ordered to pay the Nugget Polish Company ,£G 12s. Id by December 20, in default seven davs' imprisonment; and to pay W. H. Bartlett .£3 15s. by December 26, in default three days' imprisonment. COMMISSION CLAIMED. (Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.) Laurence Hennessey, commercial traveller, proceeded against P. R. Russell to recover ,£ls 10s. 9d., which ho alleged was due as ten per cent, commission on orders received by plaintiff for defendant. Mr. P. H. Putnam appeared for tho plaintiff, and Mr. C. R. Dii for the defendant. Judgment was reserved, POLICE SIDE. THE PORIRUA HOTEL' CASE. In the case brought against Mrs. O'Jlalloran, licensee of tho Porirua Hotel (a charge of having permitted drunkenness on her premises), his Worship dolivered judgment, He dismissed the information, saying it must be proved that there was "knowledge" on tho part of the defendant before such a charge could succeed. INSOBRIETY. Por insobriety, Bryda Shoahan was sent, to the Salvation Army Home for six months, and Herbert Roberts was convicted and ordered to pav expenses amounting to 17s. fid. TWO MONTHS' GAOL. . Edward Croft was sentenced to two months imprisonment for having stolen clothes valued at £7 and money totalling -£1 10s. The property belonged to Henry Bowdcn, A. H. Howard, Edward Henderson, Wesley Porbes, and Charles Brock
