WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. The selectors for the Wednesday Association have chosen tho following teams to play in the trial games on the Basm I'eservc to-morrow afternoon: — Seniors' Trial Match. \ Team: Gourlay, Harris, Bailey, Alpe, George, Smith, Taylor, .Castle, Mulford, M'Komup, Bonner, Hutton, Crouch, 'iTToam: Warne, Thompson, Mills, Caterer, Sanveriu, M'lntyrc, Davis, Cording, Carson, Dr. M'Evcdy, Truscolt, Billman, Howe, Douglass. Juniors' Trial Match. A Team: Sclottcrv, Gillespie, Corlett, Milrov, Chainbellnnd. A. J. Williamson, Cohen Hill, Tavlor, Evcrtou, Paget, Bay, Cbvto'n, Gayford. B Team: Porter. Luxford, Malmancho, Tassic, Coleman, Bouse, Wilson. Tustin, M'Kenzie, Pear, C. O'Shea, Marshall, Crook, WiUiamm. THE WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Management Committee of the: Wellington Cricket Association was held in the Occidental Hotel last evening, Air. A. T. Bate presiding. The secretary said a telegram had been sent to the ilawke's Bay Association agreeing to December -■> and December 2."i for the representative match, with that association. The Marlborough Association asked what date would suit for the return representative match with Wellington, and also if there was any chance of arranging for a junior representative match. It was decided to offer the .Marlborough Association January 20 and January 22 for the first-mentioned 'fixture. A letter was received from the Auckland Association stating that their representative team would be leaving for the southern tour in February. The proposed dates for tho tour were: Canterbury, February 9, 10, and 12; Otago, .February 10, 17, and lfl; and Wellington, February 22, 23, and 21. It was decided to ask the Auckland Association to alter the Wellington dates to February 23, 21, and 20. so as to bring the Saturday on the second day of the match, instead of on the third day, as i:t the dates originally suggested. The mutter of choosing the umpires for the Canterbury-Wellington and Ilawke's Bay-Wellington matches was left in the hands of ji sub-committee, consisting of Messis. Luekie, Vance, and Crombie. The Amateur Athletic Association wrote intimating that it rco,nired the use of the lhsin Beserve for February 10 for the Provincial Championship meeting. Some discussion took place as to the best method of displaying the names of batsmen and bowlers in representative games for the information of the public. The matter was left in the hands of a sub-committee.
It was decided to ask the coach (Saunders) to begin coaching the three "colts" who have been nominated in response to the circular sent out tn clubs. Mr. Uickcy moved: "That, it be an instruction fo the Selection Committee not to appoint a captain for representative teams, and that the team shall elect its own captain.*' The motion was lost. It was resolved that the Selection Committee should be instructed to select a captain for each match. The -Third Class Championship Committee was directed to use Kelburne and Newtown Parks in place of Hie College ground during the college holidays. The object is to provide against the" loss 'of the two corporation grounds lo the association.
