MOTOR-CYCLING.

THE RELIABILITY TRIAL. On Saturday night the New Zealand Motor Cycle Club's reliability trial concluded. Tho test was a run to Pate* aud back—this to be accomplished in 24 hours. The journey commenced at 7 p.m. on Friday, and four of tho eleven competitors arrived home. E. J. Gilbert, of Wunganui, who reached llio G.P.O. at 7.17 p.m., was first, nnd he was followed by W. Draffin, also of Wanganui. R. S. Bonder, of Wellington, was third, and A. R. Malloy v of Talmerston North, fourth. The trials committee will meet on Wednesday evening next to decide on the prize list. The most important point in the contest was running as closely as possible to schedule time.
