ALLEGED MINING SWINDLE.
PROSECUTION AT SEATTLE. By Teleenwjb- Press Ansocialion-OopyituM New York, December 8. What is alleged to be a great mining swindle is being ventilated in the courts at Seattle. A. H. and G. A. Moore are charged with using tho United States mails to defraud people. They promoted tho Alaska Mining Company, the company being advertised as owning fivo thousand acres of gold-bearing lands. The sum of .£II,OOO -was collected in stoc!: siibscriptions, and three hundred men weTe taton. to Alaska to work in developing the property. Dividends of twenty per cent, were promised. It is now alleged that most of the money went into the promoters' pockets; and that nothing ivas done to develop the property said to liavo been secured by the Moores.
