Russia had no intention of supporting the ex-Shah, and Sir Edward Grey, British Foreign Secrotary, had warned Persia that it would bo irapossiblo for Britain in any circumstances to recognise him. (Eec. December 10, 5.5 p.m.) New York, December 9. Persia has appealed to the- Government to intervene diplomatically between Persia and Hussia.
