The winner of the'race, Mfthina took up tho le<ad soon after .tho shirt, which she- held righlrup to the finishing line. SECOND CLASS. Lizzie , 1 Raweno 2 Mahaki 3 This race was won easily by the Lizzie, who maintained.a Rood lead all through the nice. Tho yachts started as follow:— Mahaki. 2.45 p.m.; Ethel, 2.45 p.m.; Eawfiic. 2.52 p.m.; Lizzie, 2.55 p.m. The Mahaki started a minute, late, but ,this did not affect her, as she easily defeated the other limit boat. The finishing times of the competing yachts were:—Lizzie (scr.), 5.37 p.m.; Kaivene (3min.), 5.30 p.m.; Mahaki (lOmin.), 5.53 p.m.; Ethel (lOiiiin.), 0.9 p.m. .
