SATURDAY'S HACES. ■ The moderate- brcozo wliich.Vprpvailod on Saturday etmbled the I'oii Nicholson Yaehl Club to Ret off two races, one for first-class and , oho for second-class yacht?. Five ;yachts' competed ' in the first-class race, aud- only-, four in the sppond-class event. Towards the finish of the firstclass race the. Kind, which was nearly westerly, bejan. to drop, and one yacht w.as. becalmed for some time. The folloiving are the results:—. FIRST CLASS. Muliina 1 Nancy Stair .'. 2 Siren .; :....:: 3 The stai'tiiiK times of the yachts were as follow:—Nancy Stair, 3 p.m.; Tangavda, 3-2 p.m.; Jlahiua, 3.5 p.m.; Windward, 3.10 p.m.; Sirou, 3.41 .p.m.;'Wai; langi, 3:4.8 p.in. The winner of the'race, Mfthina took up tho le<ad soon after .tho shirt, which she- held righlrup to the finishing line. SECOND CLASS. Lizzie , 1 Raweno 2 Mahaki 3 This race was won easily by the Lizzie, who maintained.a Rood lead all through the nice. Tho yachts started as follow:— Mahaki. 2.45 p.m.; Ethel, 2.45 p.m.; Eawfiic. 2.52 p.m.; Lizzie, 2.55 p.m. The Mahaki started a minute, late, but ,this did not affect her, as she easily defeated the other limit boat. The finishing times of the competing yachts were:—Lizzie (scr.), 5.37 p.m.; Kaivene (3min.), 5.30 p.m.; Mahaki (lOmin.), 5.53 p.m.; Ethel (lOiiiin.), 0.9 p.m. .
