SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications aro for strong.westerly winds backing to northcrlica in the North Island, and high northerly winds elsewhero, for a storm area appears to be approaching from the westward, and general rains will probably follow. The barometer is likely to fall low in the south' in the next twenty-four 'hours. Warm and luu.y weather has prevailed, with increasing cloudiness, especially in the South Mnnd.
