ADDITIONAL TAXATION.

In the Legislative Assembly, the Treasurer announced that it was proposed to impose an additional all-round tax of a half-penny,. yielding and as a set-off to reduce tho income tax, abolish the stamp tax, reduce railway freights, and make, other remissions totalling jC127,000.
