A compromise has been arrived at between the militarists and the economists, by which tho Cabinet consented to an expenditure of ninety-two and a half million yen (about ,£9,500,000), sproad unevenly over six years, for the construction of a battleship and throe euperDroadnought cruisers. It ia hoped by economics to oovor the expenditure for 1912.
