A STRONG ANTIPATHY.
AGAINST ATJSTBALIANS. Bt Tolerraph—Press Association—OopjriKht Perth, December 7. Recently an article by Mr. Simons, in chargj of tho Young Australia League boys now touring America, appeared in the local press, stating that ftrong antipathy was shown by New Zealanders to Australians and ihat evidences of this had boon observed during the boys' stay in Wellington. iSir William Russell, who is returning to New Zealand by tho steamer Moollan, interviewed, declared that the statements were all nonsense. The only feeling entnrtained towards Australians was ono of cordiality and good-fellowship. New ■ Zealanders had an intense love for their own country, but to say they despised Australians in tho Dominion was ridiculous. The only real fact in Mr. Simon's statement was that !N T ow Zealanders in speech Had mannerisms, were more English than were tho Australians.
