HUDSON'S BAY RAILWAY CONTROL., Ottawa, December 5. The Government is planning an investigation into the contract for the Hudson's Bay railway let by the late Government prior to the recent dissolution. The Government declares that it is not satisfied that the best routo has been secured.

ELECTIONS IN ONTARIO. Ontario, December 5. At the elections there are seventeen uncontested seats. The return of the Whitney Government is certain.
