FOR THE COMMONWEALTH. Uy Telesraph—PreF« Association-Oonyriirht Melbourne, December 6. In the Federal House of Representatives, Mr. Thomas, Postmaster-General, moved for approval of the purchase of tho Strand site for the erection of Commonwealth offices in London at a total cost, including the proposed buildings, of .£587,000. The estimated annual net cost to the Commonwealth will be ,£11,283. The debate on tho motion was adjourned.
