The barometer will probably rite for a. short time, in the south, bnt i*nother low-pressure area is due to fol- . low in the. south. The barometer fell to 23.47 at 8.3d a.m. to-day at the Bluff, which is the lowest pressure ever recorded iu Xew Zealand.
