Tho Italians at Tripoli drovo off a largo force of Turks and Arabs with tho bayonet. Tho artillery shelled the fugitives. It is believed tho Turkish losses were heavy. Tho Italians lost eight killed and seventeen wounded. FRENCHMAN ASSASSINATED. Tripoli, December 3. It is alleged that an emissary of tho Young Turks stabbed M. Jean Carrer, correspondent of tho, Paris newspaper "Lb Temps," supposing him to bo au Italian.
