Mrs. Petherick Lawrence, treasurer of tho Women's Social and Political Union and editor of their weekly organ "Votes for Women," who was convicted of taking part in the recent riotous scenes in Parliament Square, has been released on sail. The legality of her conviction is questioned, on tho ground that tho principal witness in tho case had not been sworn.
