He was seen at midnight bending over a dying man named Mandiuo, who was lying in tho snow at Melun. Ho then hurriedly escaped in a motor-car. A gamokeoper had previously heard the sound of shots. The police suggest that Bonnot and Mandino quarreled over booty, after participating in the recent lobbcry of tho Indian mail. Bonnot's motor-car was abandoned by the roadside. It has been identified as a stolen one. fit was estimated that .£120,000 was stolen from tho mail bags-1
