A STRANGE OCCURRENCE. Dy Tclerraph—Press Association—Oopyriihi Melbourne, November 30. There has been a strange occurrence in tho Ciirdio's Ri'er. The water became white with froth, which afterwards turned to green slime. Fish died, and cattle refused to drink' tho water. The phenomenon is supposed to have been tho result of a volcanic disturbance. A similar thing happened twenty years ago.
