" Wedding in 'he Congregational' Church. . A very ; -pretty -wedding' took '.piaeo quietly in the- '-Terrace Congregational (.'liurcli yesterday afternoon,- when MissNorah Amelia West, fourth daughter ol'. the late l)r. West and of Airs. West, of Bolton Street, was married to.Mr.-.Alfred Sydney Taylor, Christchurch, eldest son of Mr. and- Mrs. A. E. Taylor, of Christchurch. The church -had been, charmingly decorated: : for the. occasion' by- the friends of-the bride, and the. service /was' conducted by (lie K«\v Mr. Glasson.'.:Tho bride, who was given mvay by . Mr; C. I'. Vallance,' wore' a'' beautiful ■ semi-empire gown of ivory duchess satin, with transparent yoke'-' and- c'.boW sleeves of silver net, on which were worked medallions ol lace. A" court train was fastened to the shoulders, -and oil its lower length were worked most beautiful band-eni-broidcred flowers,-' intermingled-witlr trilo* lovers' knots' in' silver thread.- The f[uub design was. Oiirried out on the-front of the skirt, ami also on the bodice, silver thread outlining-the edges of tho yoke. • A veil of exquisite Venetian point' was also worn/ -caught in with a' coronet of orailgi)' blossoms, and she carried a' bouquet of. white roses and maiden hair fern. Her. sister, Miss Elaine West, attended her us bridesmaid, and wore a charming frock of apricot'satin with tunic elfect of palest blue- ninon, edged with a deep hem of the satin. The Ixidicp was veiled' with uiuon and finished with blue-jewel-led embroidery and girdle of twisted satin with .'an edging of small apricot satin balls. A large black hat wreathed with forget-me-nots and apricot-shaded roses was worn, and sho carried a shower bouquet of "William Allan Richardson" roses. Two very tiny children. Mollie. Gillespie and Frank Holdsworth (niece and nephew of the bride) carried the train, the little girl wearing a Kate. Greei'.away. frock of white satin, with collar and sleeves of Irish crochet laee and. littja Irish crochet laco bonnet, and the small boy\a. suit of whito satin and whito_ lace collar and cuffs. Mr. llott (Wellington) was the best man. The Wedding March was played as tho bride and bridegroom left the church. Mrs. West. wore a black silk costume striped with white, the coat being finished'with deep revers of black salin. Her bouquet was of pink carnations.
