It was reported thai Ihe institution had been developed into a Young Mens Club, thorn being over one hundred- members. "Young Imjvs and irresponsible men type" had-ceased to patronise the club, and, though there would be a free readin;; room for everybody, it wn« thought that certain.of the rooms and the games should be reserved for members, and it was decided not to accept anyone under 18 years of ago for membership. It was decided to ask the consent of the borough to those proposals tlw council was giving the use of the rooms free, and should have a voice in the management of the club. If is anticipated .that the membership will-easily reach KM*, and is proposed to procure a billiard, table.
