CANADIAN BASIS DESIRED. By TeleeraDh—fress Association—Oooyriehl London, November 26. Sir Gilbert Parker, Unionist M.P. for Gravesend, addressing his constituents at Gravesend, said that Mr. J. E. Redmond, the Nationalist leader, wanted Home Rulo for Ireland on the basis of Canadian autonomy. The Government would not dare to givo it, for, with control of the Customs and Excise, Ireland would bo practically independent of the Imperial Parliament. Yet, added Sir Gilbert, a section inside the Cabinet and a large Radical faction outsido wore willing to grant it. Tho Liberal ship would certainly go to pieces on that rock. However, it was not unlikely that it would he wrecked very soon on the Insuranco Bill.
