There am no Cabinet Ministers in town to-day. .Tho Hon. D. Buddo is at Christchurch, Sir Jas. Carroll at Gisbovne, Kir John Fimllay at Auckland, the Hon. It. JM'Kcnzio at Westport, (he Ilou. T. Mackenzie at Elthaiu, the Hon. J. A. Millar at Duncdin, and the Hon. A. T. Ngatn. at Gisbornc. The- Hon. K. M'Kenzio is at present electioneering in (he southern portion of his electorate, which extends to within a fe«" miles of -Wnstport. It is unlikely that the Minister will return to Wellington before the general election. Owing to Mr. G. Jl. Robertson being iinnblo to accept the. Sir George Grey Scholarship (for science), the honour has been awarded to Messrs. I?. M. Bruce and 'it- (equal)—each to receive lijilr ot Hie. emolument attached to tho scholarship. Mr. J A. Mellish, of Southampton, England, has arrived in Wellington from Home, with tje special intention of taking advantage'of the fishing aud shooting Oversea visitors to Ken- Zealand at present include Mr. Win. Ileslop, of Adelaide, Air. and Mrs. l>. J. pack, of Lon(lon, iiml Mr. W. H. Pole-Fletcher, of Ccvlon and England. The members of "Tho Woman in the Case' ..Dramatic Company arrived from Palmerstmi North yesterday, and left for the south .last evening.
