OTAKI, A painful accident occurred here on Saturday afternoon, when Mr. Edward Cootes had three toes cut. off by a falling treo. .He was carried about a mile over hilly and broken country, and obliged to crawl over slipa and'up hills till a horse was requisitioned at ilay's. After seven hours of tedious and painful journey he reached the hospital.
