"On.Friday, 24th inst.. we held our fortnightly Dannevirke fale, when wo offered a, big yjxrding of cattle and sheep. The attendance of buyers was above the average. The inclemency of the weather had .it's effect oji bidding, but most of our offerings were quitted atsaticfactory prices. At our Fcibliug sale on Friday, 24tU instant,-owing-to very rough weather, a number of advertised lines of sheep did not come forward, hut. a small entry met a really good sale. A large yarding of 'cattle sold readily, and with tho. exception of one small pen all lots changed hands: —Empty Woolly even, lis. "d.; black-faced hoggets, 135.; good ewe hoggets,' to 165.; extra, good ewe hoggets, to l-7s. 6d.; mixed age ewes, with lambs, 19s. to 19s. 7d. On account, .of Mr. W.
