One passenger on tho train at Saurmir was hauled out of tho river to within a yard of tho top of the embankment, when the rope broke, and ho was drowned. 'A survivor describes the desperate struggle of tho occupants of ono cuinpartment to escape from tho water reaching almost to tho roof. All were eventually freed.
