Tho fact is commented on that but for sixty-five Unionists supporting Mr. LloydGeorge's amendment to Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald's motion in the Xlouso of Commons, urging the Government to arrange a conference between the railway companies and the men, the Government would have been defeated, inasmuch as the minority included seventyone Liberals despite Mr. Lloyd-George's strenuous appeal for a unanimous response by the party.
