Further developments in tho dispute between the mino owners and tho Miners' Union occurred yesterday, when a conference between tho two parties was rendered abortive by tho mine owners opening with a demand for contracting in slopes. Tho union official held that this had never been permitted, and (ho meeting broko up. A special meeting of the Inangahun Miners'. Union is being held to-night.
