Al the recent (lower s-how, hold on Thursday, Din special prize lo (ho winner .uf mnst points in sweet peas was won by Mrs. G. T. Stewart, who alto secured Mr. C. Klgar's trophy given to the winner of most points in cut flowers, not including roses. Mbs Hnnlon, of Whangaimoana, won E. \V. Mills and Co.'s tropin - for mo&t points in vegetables. The prize "for tho best collection of flowers from n garden, under quarter acre in extent, was won by Mrs. G. Fonwick.
OTAKI
At Tokomaru on Thursday the death occurred of Mr. George Row, brother to Itr. W. J. Row, of Olaki. Deceased, who was 15 year? of age, was one of the first settlers al. Tokomaru to take up laud from the Wellington-Manawatu Company, and was greatly respected. He had oniy been ill a week, tho cause of death being pneumonia.
