A CEOP SAVED. A report from AHielstoue. South Austrnlia., stales that 3lr. G. Packer, has been carrying out extensive . spraying operations in his potato crop, and a remarkable difference lias bora, effected. The potatoes not sprnyed had been completely deslruyed by the blight, ■.rliilci .those treated ive.ro absolutely free from tho disease, and he heliovcd would yield a crop ot 10 tons to the acre. The potatoes worn of the Bismarck variety, which most raulily took the lilight' 'J'h ,, plants had been sprayed three times with a mixture composed of Gib. of Milestone, 01b. washing soda, and Sib. of lime to GO gallons of ivnter. The spray used was horse-drawn, and did about V) acres a day. The cost I came to about s=. per acre.
