Leaguo footballers played yesterday the eighteenth match of their tour, when thoy wero pitted against a Cumberland thirteen, whom they defeated by a goal and ono try to goal. Tho match was witnessed by five thousand spectators. Cumberland attacked brilliantly at tho start. Then tho visitors asserted themselves, and Gilbert got a try, which Kussell converted. There was a stern contest in the second half, when Cumberlaid again reattached in an endeavour to save tho game. The Australasians, however, finely defeated tho attack. Cumberlaid scored from a free-kick just upon time.
