SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications aro for strong scuthcrly winds generally, cold and unchangeable weather, rain in mest parts of tho country, and frosts inland in the south. iiougU seas will probably be experienced on all tho Western Coast and-southward of East Cape. Tho bar rometor is rising everywhere, and a corresponding improvement in weather conditions is anticipated. A change in the weatiicr has taken place, westerly winds giving, place to strong southerlies, with colder weather. Tho barometer rose in tho south during the night, and enow fell on higher, levels in tho South Island. Heavy rain and hail has also been experienced ■in parts. ; U. C. DATES.
